Ashcan Clay is a studio-based ceramics program rooted in New York’s long-standing tradition of fine art education. As part of the Ashcan Studio of Art community, Ashcan has spent decades fostering a creative environment where students of all ages can learn through hands-on practice, thoughtful instruction, and personal expression.

With four studio locations across New York, Ashcan is known for its supportive, artist-centered approach. Our ceramics program goes beyond casual craft classes, combining technical foundations, design, and creative exploration in a professional studio setting.
