[Teens] One-Day Pottery Workshop · Hand-Building

This one-time hand-building class at our Little Neck Studio is open to students in Grades 5–12. No prior experience is required.

Students will learn basic hand-building techniques and create one project of their choice, such as a cup, plate, accessory, or small sculpture.

  • Saturdays · 5:00–7:00 PM

  • Wed. 6:00–8:00 PM (August only)

  • Thur. 4:00–6:00 PM (August only)

  • $100 · 2-hour class
    Materials and firing included

-Additional Information

  • Staff will glaze and fire each finished piece

  • Work will be ready for pickup in approximately 4 weeks

  • Class time includes setup and cleaning

Reserve your spot—limited to 8 students per class.

When are the classes held?

Workshops are held on Saturdays at our Little Neck Studio.

  • Saturday Workshop · 5:00–7:00 PM

  • August: 12 · 13 · 19 · 20 · 22

  • September: 12 · 19 · 26

  • October: 3 · 10 · 17 · 24 · 31

  • November: 7 · 14 · 21

  • December: 5 · 12 · 19

No class on Nov 28 due to Thanksgiving Break.

Each workshop is a one-time session. Please select one date when registering.

How is the class structured?

  • A relaxed, hands-on one-time pottery workshop

  • Learn basic clay and hand-building techniques

  • Create one personalized ceramic project

  • Beginner-friendly and open to all levels

  • Guided step-by-step instruction in a small-group setting

What is included in
the tuition?

All materials and studio processes are included.

  • Clay, glazes, and underglazes

  • Use of studio equipment

  • All firings

Class time includes setup and cleaning time.

*No additional material or firing fees apply.

What should I prepare for my first class?

No prior experience is required.

  • All essential materials will be provided for the workshop

  • Aprons will be available, but you are welcome to bring your own if preferred

  • Please arrive 10 minutes early.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

· Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund.

· Cancellations made within 24 hours of the class will receive class credit only, valid for one year.

· Once the session has begun, no refunds will be issued.
